Lioness and cubs

At long last our wish has come true! A Lioness with cubs.

We spent 3 nights at the Nshawu Guest House at the Olifants camp in Kruger National Park with 3 other couples (all Guest House owners from Hazyview). The wildlife has as always been very interesting but this time it has topped our expectations.

On 2 different days could we observe Lionesses with their cubs. The first sighting was ON the Letaba bridge towards Mopani and the second sighting on our way home, just after the Olifants bridge towards Satara. After years of waiting we were lucky to have this awesome experience twice.
We at Abangane Guest Lodge are happy to organise your day tours into the park as self-drive or organised game drive in an open vehicle.

A great day at Kruger National Park

After our guests departed on an otherwise free Sunday, we decided for a short trip into Kruger National Park.

We were in for a rather boring start but as the photos show, the day improved dramatically!

The Phabeni Gate is reachable within a leisurely 15 minutes drive from Abangane Guest Lodge.

A glorious pool day in Hazyview

The recent rainy weather has not been normal in comparison to other years. We and the guests of Abangane Guest Lodge therefore appreciate a glorious pool day even more.

New Year's Day starter

Tonight’s starter at Abangane Guest Lodge was a tower of smoked salmon, masala mango and prawns, topped with Danish feta and accompanied with a sweet chilly blackberry sauce. Yummy!!!
